I am Chris from a small town near Stuttgart in Germany, so it was quite a change for me when I started my work and travel year back in November 2019 in Vancouver, Canada. Soon after I arrived, I wanted to connect with people and see what daily life is like over here. Working with Pristine Labour allowed me to get to know really cool people and learn many new skills. The site I work on is a tall Hi Rise in downtown and there are different challenges every day. I am really grateful to be working with Pristine, since they really take care of their employees and are always nice to talk to.

After I did my Work & Holiday visa in Australia and New Zealand a few years ago, I decided to do the same in Canada. I love travelling and North America was always on my bucket list, so I started my trip in Vancouver and I’m really happy about my current job at Pristine. Vancouver is a major city with so much nature everywhere. We have the coast with plenty of nice beaches, the big Stanley Park and a lot of mountains in the North. I am working on a famous Hi Rise and enjoy it as I am a Roofer in Germany. When I finish working, my plan is to visit the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Yukon and Alaska (USA).
